David Alpaugh definitely gave pause for thought. Interesting. I think some of the contests are kind of cool and it's a good opportunity for poets to have a chance to be published. In fact, I've had poets ask me if I would be willing to run a contest so it made me think about it. But, after reading David's essay, I'm not so sure what to think but it made me slow down and not rush into anything like that without further exploration of the up and down sides.
