keepredApparently it’s advertising week at TG.org — no real content here, just some things worth pointing to…

A few weeks ago Red Hen Press went live with their new website, which is a tremendous upgrade from the old version.  I’m of the mind that a website is central to any business these days, particularly the poetry business, since poems are so internetogenic (Seriously, the condension of experience into a body of text that’s often the size of a computer screen, the urge share good poems with your friends…poems are so simple and perfect for the internet — what fits this medium better?), so this new website of theirs is well-worth the wait.

You’ll notice, if you’ve ever seen Red Hen things before, that they’ve also made their logo much more edgy.  Bright red is now blood red, and there’s a stenciled graffiti feel to the font — the little hen might be cute, but if you say that out loud it’s gonna kick your ass!

They’re also diving headlong into the 21st century in starting a blog, which you’ll find linked to the right, and also by clicking here.  The posts are written by various Red Hen personas, which I think is an interesting idea.  There’s the Bookbuilder, the Developer, the Guts, and so on.  I have no idea what the categories actually mean, but I’m looking forward to seeing how they progress with it.  Behind-the-scenes in literature is something I’m always interested in — part of my open source philosophy, I guess.
